Tall Story Script Callout (February)

Sticks & Stones script page.png

As part of Tall Story Pictures’ desire to support diversity & inclusion and deliver long-term, sustainable change to our industry, we’re following our initial callouts by now issuing a callout to D/deaf and disabled writers who do not have an agent.

We will read and provide written and verbal feedback on your 60 minute TV script in one-to-one sessions with a member of the TSP editorial team. We ask that the script has a standard industry format. An extract from Sticks & Stones, created and written by Mike Bartlett, is above and shows the format (other examples can be found online). The free software to write your scripts is available at Celtx (https://www.celtx.com/index.html). We will then host a hangout Q&A with the TSP team to provide advice on the TV industry and connect you with the other callout writers.

The script window will open on Monday 15th February.  Due to the small nature of the TSP editorial team, it will be capped to a maximum of 10 scripts. Submit your name, social media handle, a log line, genre and script in a PDF format to scripts@tallstorypictures.co.uk   We will only accept hour long TV scripts.

We want to make this process accessible to everyone so please do let us know if you have any access requirements in your submission email.

This will be the first of two callouts for script by D/deaf and disabled writers this year (the next one will be in the autumn).  We’re planning a further callout for the summer and there will be more next year and we’ll continue to focus on under-represented voices so please keep watching our feeds for new dates and new announcements.

This is an opportunity for industry feedback on your scripts, advising on next steps. Please note that this is not a competition or a mentoring scheme.

We will give feedback within 4 weeks of receipt.

We’re looking forward to reading your work.

Sam
